Week 8

Week 8 Adam Parks Nanotechnology is one of the most amazing and fascinating ways of technology in the world.  Nanotechnology is used to make processors and create micro items used in technology. It is also used in many coatings in order to add a protective and light appealing layer.  Nanotechnology is in much more than we realize, such as in camera and paint and many other forms of art, demonstrating the relation it has within art. The first form is through cameras.  Cameras utilize nanotechnology in order to develop a processor able to capture the image that we are viewing and what we want to be captured. Photos, to me are an amazing form of art due to the ability to capture an image and not only store it within our memory, but also within a flash drive or within computers or cds, all of which utilize nanotechnology to allow this possibility. Nano technology serves as a memory, yet also serving as a way to improve the quality of pictures we are able to capture...

Event number 2

Event #2 Adam Parks      For this weeks event, I ventured to UCLA campus and explored the UCLA La Kretz Garden Pavilion.  After being inspired by my past event at the Botanical Gardens, I made the decision to continue my inspiration and creativity through the nature that exists in this world.  To me, nature is the greatest form of art, created by Earth and not man.  The art through which gardens and plants display all relates to open interpretation.  If me and another person were to look at the same plant, our forms of creativity, art, and beauty we collect will be different due to the openness that the plant displays.     In addition, more relating to the class, biotechnology also plays a factor in the beauty and art behind plants.  Through tests and research, plants can now be genetically modified, changing color or shape or style that the plants display.  This has allowed for the nature of plants and agriculture to become...

Week 7: Neuroscience and Art By: Adam Parks         The brain is one of the most creative and interesting parts of our entire body.  It has the ability to allow for many actions and emotions and attitudes to exist as a part of our character.  Neuroscience is unique in the fact that it allows for an endless spread of ideas and attitudes for individuals to have. The right side of the brain, to me, is what correlates neuroscience and art with one another.          The right side of the brain is where creativity lies.  The ability to sense feelings and listen to music and so much more on a creative scale comes from the right side of the brain. The ability to illustrate creativity is an art, pertaining to each individual in a different way.  Each individual is unique in their owns ways and means of creativity, yet all of this stems from the brain itself, in particular the right side of the brain.  Creativity is...

Week 6 Adam Parks     Biotechnology is a form of technology that has been enabled through the increase in technology and sciences. Biotechnology can be broad, from genetically modifying foods to kids to so much more. All of these examples lead to the idea of modernism in our current day in age and the progression of technology. All sorts of technology relates to the main idea of art, showing the beauty of the world and the progression our country has made.      Genetic modifications can be made as a form of improvement, fixing the flaws and making changes to better an outcome. This relates to photography and editing for me, given the ability to make improvements and allows for more of a "perfect" images. The art in genetic modification through biotechnology is the ability to make the beauty of the world more present and the ability to make changes to add to a idealistic society. The art in Biotechnology comes out through the advancement that society m...
