Week 8

Nanotechnology is one of the most amazing and fascinating ways of technology in the world. Nanotechnology is used to make processors and create micro items used in technology. It is also used in many coatings in order to add a protective and light appealing layer. Nanotechnology is in much more than we realize, such as in camera and paint and many other forms of art, demonstrating the relation it has within art.
The first form is through cameras. Cameras utilize nanotechnology in order to develop a processor able to capture the image that we are viewing and what we want to be captured. Photos, to me are an amazing form of art due to the ability to capture an image and not only store it within our memory, but also within a flash drive or within computers or cds, all of which utilize nanotechnology to allow this possibility. Nano technology serves as a memory, yet also serving as a way to improve the quality of pictures we are able to capture with our cameras and phones.
Nanotechnology in painting and other forms of art allow for a stronger and more durable surface. My dad owns an auto body shop, using all sorts of paint to allow the cars to be appealing to the eye, but also limit the amount of chipping that occurs. Through nanotechnology, more durable paint exists, making painting cars more efficient and also less of a worry due to the durability of the paint. This serves as an art platform as well, allowing the paint to withstand certain conditions and also lasting over a long period of time. Nanotechnology is unique and utilized more than we realize, allow for a more efficient and sustainable society of technology.
